| today after school i stayed for the GSA, then me maddie and hanna walked over to RADS. we ate pizza and played DDR and such...then i came home and there was a lovely package waiting for me...my movie from Putney! oh man! i've actually decided that my movie pretty much sucks, but the other ones were good. especially hannas, which has tom starring as the superhero. and the one where i play the whore is pretty awesome too.
tomorrow i have a bio test...ahh burke is such a bitch. i did, however, very much enjoy the other day in class where she went all crazy and was like, "PICK YOUR NITROGEN CYCLE!!!" i'm also probably going to stay after for that JJHS news thing which has edan of the hot pants...

| school has been interesting. a bit more eventful in the past week or two than it had been before, which is maybe good? maybe not.
pressure chief came out on tuesday, which makes me so unbelievably happy. and tomorrow night i'm seeing CAKE in concert! this has been my one goal since last winter and now...finally...holy shit its gonna be crazy.

anyways, today was okay. hanna was at peer group during lunch, so i decided i would spend some time with my dear enemy Zaq Waldman. we actually had a lot to talk about, reminising about last year and such. and about how all our teachers hated cooper. science today was terrible, burke rambled on for almost 80 minutes about the 5 kingdoms. i swear, sex comes up in that class every single days with no exceptions. and andrew always asks the wierdest questions (for example, "if a nipple is ripped off, can it grow back?" and "do donkeys have sexual organs?"). thank god tomorrow is friday...i can't take any more of this...

| today was good.
my math test was easy, at lunch we laughed at hanna's mother's possible movie script, and in science we nearly died when Dr. Burke told us about the Hitachi Microscope- apparenty scientists take special care to make sure it doesn't vibrate. i went to services tonight and tomorrow i'm going to new jersey for a family break-fast thing. someone should have a party on sunday. | | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| i haven't written in awhile. high school sucks. a lot. its extremely impersonal and every day is exactly the same. i went to a bunch of club meetings, the newspaper one was weird but edan dover is hot and has nice pants; the GSA was awesome and that adorable senior Taylor was there; and photoclub is pretty awesome too, the high school has a really really nice darkroom. on tuesday after school a bunch of us walked to the pizza place and then went to the middle school to visit our old teachers, which was fun. and yesterday maddie and calvin came over and we had wars with black lipstick. (ha, it didn't come out of maddie's hair).
about 15 of my friends are going to the cake show, its going to be so amazingly awesome. and its just 15 days away. and pressure chief comes out in less than two weeks.
my mom keeps working on this weird sculpture thing with maddies mom...its really strange. its like in some rich guys back yard in Pound Ridge and theres some japanese artist there who really likes Scotch. hm.
my happiest moment of the week was when i was listening to One Hot Minute (by the chili peppers) and i heard the lyric "i believe the aborigine". in the darkroom at putney someone had written on the wall "i believe the aborigineeee!" and everytime i saw it i was like, "OH MAN THATS AWESOME!" even though i had no idea what it meant. then i realized that it was a chili peppers lyric and it is now my new favorite phrase. well, that and Fer Mihi Togam (fetch me my toga). | | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| high school started yesterday. my classes are really awesome, i have at least one friend in every class except for math (but there's this sophmore who i'm going to pursue). my teachers are all pretty cool, and dr. burke (who everyone said is an evil monster) actually seems pretty nice. latin is weird, we have seniors in our class and i'm really really scared of them. thank god cooper's in that class otherwise i'd be stuck with Brittany Medeo....
i have the crappiest lunch period though, my only friend is hanna and inna sits with us. dude, i don't like that girl. plus malti ditched us for zaid. the goal was for zaid to sit with us. i mean, look at his name!
all these people who i went to elementary school with that left for middle school are back. oh man, peter everett! we are totally making him one of us. i remember in 5th grade he built a house for some social studies project and everyone was like, 'oh man, that peter everett is such a loser,' except for maddie who had a crush on him. haha i can't believe he's back.

| today we had a skank-fest!
hanna came over to dye my hair and work on the math packet. we ended up cutting up my old clothing into weird shapes and drawing things on the ass of my pants. kate came over to help us with our skank-fest too. seth isn't here, but he will be. | today was, as katherine is apt to say, 'stellar'. around 4 me and kath went to the mall and i (finally) got a double piercing in my ear. then we just shopped a bit and i got a sublime shirt, a nirvana shirt, a ska scarf (OH MAN), and a bunch of stickers, pins, and keychains for my new dickies messenger bag (OH MAN). then we went to staples so kath could get her school supplies and then of course starbucks as well. after that we went back to her house where we watched Red Hot Chili Peppers live (i gave it to her for her birthday). oh man, why are they so amazing?? they are so fucking awesome and anthony kiedis is like a sex god. oh mannnnn.

| today i painted my fingernails white and gave myself a CAKE tattoo. then i decided that everything i own should be ska so i painted vaious things in my room black and white (including the spine of my journal, my toenails, my cd holder, and the bottom of my reefs). i also hung up a bunch of vinals on my wall (while blasting nirvana) and it looks soooo awesome. then i went to see Garden State with katherine. OH MAN. it was absolutely amazing. the music, acting, cinematography, EVERYTHING was so awesome. i will go crazy if i don't see it again MANY more times.

| so today i went to carmel for my brothers driving test, and i was like, "hahaha maddie used to live in this shithole!" and then we went to danbury to go shopping for school supplies and then CVS so i could get hair-die. and then of course Trader Joe's but my brother wanted to leave so it was like, "HOW MUCH GRANOLA CAN YOU THROW INTO THE CART IN FIVE MINUTES?" (the answer being two boxes of hemp plus and one bag of trader joe's brand). on the way back we drove by the infamous Balanced Rock of North Salem. this is a boulder sitting on about 4 smaller boulders and there's a sign next to it that actually says 'Balanced Rock'. ha.

| so today hanna came over. we did the usual, nutella + music. i accidentally sliced my finger with my pocket knife. come to think of it i don't really know what i'm doing with a knife anyway.
after she left we went to my grandparents house because my grandpa died last night. he had been in the hospital for a long time so it was expected. i mean i'm sad, but its okay. my little cousin ben who's like 4 decided to follow me around the whole time, and he called me 'soldier' and kept pretending to stab my great-aunt May. i also stole a bunch of really kick-ass records that were stashed away in the attic, like The Doors, The Ramones, The Rolling Stones, and The Clash (oh man, london calling!). i also found The Beatles Revolver but it was way too awesome for me to even touch. i also convinced my uncle to give me his old record player (OH MAN) and my other uncle slipped a $100 bill into my pocket.
tomorrow i'm babysitting and hopefully seeing garden state with kath.

| today was so awesome.
me and hanna met up with maggie and janet in the city. we went out to lunch and this creepy middle-aged man was like smiling at us and mouthing things at hanna, and then we went to Dylans Candy Bar and me and maggie ate all those jelly beans that fall into the grate that your definetly not supposed to eat (especially if you're not paying for them) and then i bought lighter fluid and then we sat in some store for like a half hour and pissed off the people there because we were the only people in the store and we weren't buying anything. then we mocked people and discussed their abnormally small asses. it was quite glorious. now i'm really really tired. and maddies grandma told me she'd tell maddie to call me so that makes me happy.

| well, i'm home. yesterday i got to see kath and kate (YAY!) and then sam had a party. which was wierd. almost everything was the same as it had always been, except some people changed. a lot. plus nick pesche was there, and i don't like his existence. even with the emo glasses.

| oh man, i'm on islay. its this little island about the size of nantucket that has a population of 3,000. there are just hills and sheep and abandoned castles. oh man. so we're staying in this little inn where we share a bathroom with the other people, but theres only like two other people here. (one of them has shaggy hair). so now i'm in this little bar in the back of the inn and we're waiting for our food and its raining and it smells like sheep shit outside. this is fucking crazy.
so i'll be home on thursday. man, sheep kick ass.
p.s. almost every night i have dreams about putney. a couple nights ago in the dream it was the last day and i was saying goodbye to everyone and we were all hysterically sobbing. i miss everyone so much. | | comments: Leave a comment |
| i'm in Scotland! we're in some small town called fort augustus along the river ness. this keyboard thing is fucked up. so we rented a car and we're driving all over the country, through fields of sheep and abandoned castles and stuff. we've been to one distillery so far and i got to drink some whiskey. haha my mom was like, "this must be your first taste of whiskey!" and i was like, "sure...."
so its really awesome here, and we're like the only americans in the country because no one else would come to a place like this. on saturday i'm going to some sort of punk concert in edinburgh, which should be cool. and tomorrow we're going to Islay, this little island up north which consist of like 10 distillerys (and nothing else). i have to go, i'm on a timer and my brother wants to use the computer. | | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

so yesterday me and hanna met up with janet, zoe, and rachel in the city. it was fun, i was so happy to see them again. its only been like four days since we left, but it feels like weeks.

| as much as i'd rather be at putney, these past two days were like the best ever. yesterday we went to Brody's party, which was pretty bad but i got to hang out with annie and mad, who i haven't seen in a long time. and afterwards we all slept at annies house. shit, we got completely wasted. it was fucking awesome. i couldn't walk two steps without just collapsing on the ground. then we decided we would go skinny dipping in annies pool, but i couldn't walk there. so i decided i would crawl there. i ended up sprawled out on her kitchen floor trying to swim there. god i'm such a fucker. it was sooo much fun.
and then today me and maddie told our parents we were going to hang out in katonah with calvin, but instead we took the train to White Plains! it was awesome because we would get in so much trouble if our parents found out. dammit, we're such typical teenagers. we hung out in the mall and my mom even called and i was like, "yea...we're at Scoops..." we are genious. i can't believe we pulled it off.
